Next Friday I depart on an eight week trip to central Maryland. Needless to say, I will be very busy over the next week. Alissa and I bought a house this past May and both my deck and fence need to be stained, not to mention a handful of other chores.
Knowing all of this I scheduled my last session with a Family from Lansing, KS. We met at 5 pm and drove out to Railroad Park in Blue Springs. The rain wouldn’t stop on the drive out there but by the time we pulled into the park, the rain was gone and the sun started to peek through the clouds. Sometimes you’ve just got to trust the weatherman. Their little one was pretty camera shy at first but as time went on she warmed right up. We all walked around the park together, the kids played on the enormous playground and had fun with the ducks. By the time we got to the railroad tracks the sun had already gone down and there wasn’t much natural light available. I’m glad I invested in a great camera, the D700 pulled through for me at ISO 3200 and I even got some great shots at ISO 4o00. I’d have to say that my favorite shots were taken on the railroad tracks.
